According to an old band interview ‘Ask Davy’ got it’s title when Simon Dine from Go! Discs kept calling the band to find out the name of the B-side. None of the band could think of a title, so someone just said ‘Ask Davy’.
And there’s me thinking it was written about something much more sinister.
