Here’s an advert from the NME to promote third single ‘Circling The Circumference’.
The image of George McDaid was taken on the isle of Arran and was from the outtakes of the video for ‘Only Tongue Can Tell’.
George, however, decided that being in a band was never his destiny, and parted company after ‘Cake’ to become a school teacher – but you knew that didn’t you.

Released in the Summer of 2004 this was a single track promo CD sent to hip and cool radio stations for a wee spin before the release of fourth album ‘Weightlifting’.
There’s not much to it, just the plain old CD and a photocopied insert.
It’s rare!

…of world domination? Mmmm, perhaps not.
One of my earlier posts will give you all the info you need on the Westwood One Radio Networks.
This is another rare CD which includes the tracks ‘Iceberg’ and ‘Remember Phil’. The latter, as you well know, is in fact ‘Twisted And Bent’ – but when this acoustic session was recorded the song had no official title. It is introduced by Frank as a ‘world exclusive’ and is rather good.
Both tracks eventually appeared on the 7-inch vinyl bootleg which accompanied some copies of the Autopsy fanzine. More on both of these here and here.
