Here’s a cutting from an edition of Glasgow’s ‘The List’ magazine advertising an early TCS gig, supporting The Thieves at Cumbernauld Theatre.

Only Tongue Can Tell, Funny, Drunken Chorus and Useless were among the setlist that night, which I think, was from late 1988 or sometime early in 1989.

Fascinating facts: The Thieves recorded an album at Shabby Road Studios. It was never released. Also, The Thieves had a certain Daniel Wylie in their ranks, who went on to find a degree of success with the Cosmic Rough Riders in the late 1990s, early 2000s.

Promotional poster for the three sold out Troubadour shows on October 8-9 2004. This was the band’s first concert in California in 11 years.

I’ve no idea who designed the poster, but I like it.

A review of Eddi Reader’s reissued album ‘The Songs of Robert Burns: Deluxe Edition’, from the February 2009 issue of Q magazine. This re-packaged album brings together the original album with seven new songs and features her version of ‘Wild Mountainside’, a song written by John Douglas.
