The editon exclusive to Japan came with special liner notes and an original postcard. The liner notes were written by B-Flower’s frontman, Hideshi Hachino. Formed in the late 1980s, B-Flower are considered to be one of the oldest Neo-acoustic bands in Japan and have been running through almost the same period as the Trashcans. In his notes he talks quietly and passionately about the Trashcans and the Happy Pocket era.

Tutti-frutti indeed.
The new exclusive Trashcan Sinatras AA 7″ single is out now. 750 copies have been pressed onto eco coloured vinyl – Green, Blue, Opaque Pink, Transparent Orange, Yellow.
Which colour did you get?
New song, ‘Ways’ is backed on fantastic plastic with the best song from 2020, ‘The Closer You Move Away From Me’ – listen out for the wee nod to Jackie DeShannon. Magic stuff!
The single has been released by Scotland’s label of choice, Last Night From Glasgow, who will also be reissuing second album, ‘I’ve Seen Everything’, later in 2021. I wonder how many colours that one will come in?
Design and artwork was created by the talented Mr Chris Dooley over at How It Is Nowadays in Brooklyn, NY.
The alert Trashcan fans among you will, of course, recognise Chris from the Autopsy fanzine produced thirty-odd years ago.
The edition released in Japan included liner notes written by The Laundries. I’m sure they are very complimentary.

For the 15th anniversary of its original release, 2004’s ‘Weightlifting’ was made available on vinyl for the first time!
Remastered on 180 gram vinyl, it included a full colour outer sleeve, a full colour insert with lyrics and a colour inner sleeve featuring liner notes written by British music journalist Pete Paphides…
“If life is a spectator sport, a Trashcan Sinatras album is the work of unassuming Olympians.”
It’s a wonderful package befitting such a wonderful album and really should be part of your record collection. Get your copy here.
Now all we need is a vinyl release of ‘In The Music’…?
Also, not one but two test pressings were produced. Test pressing one had too much hiss so another was cut, but to be honest there’s not an ocean of difference to these average ears.
