Follow-up single to ‘Obscurity Knocks’. This is the 7-inch UK version and I’ve also included the Australian and German imports.
The printing on the imports is slightly different in that the text is more pink than red – see bottom pictures.

Below is the Australian version, released on the London Go! Discs label.

And below is the German version, released on Go! Discs.

‘Senses Working Overtime’ is one of the many Trashcan cover versions.
Originally recorded by XTC, this 12-inch vinyl was given out to fans – a Christmas present perhaps – at a concert in 1992.
These were extremely limited with just under 1,000 copies pressed – here’s No.77.

The original working title for the album ‘Cake’ was ‘Spoofs’.
Here’s a white label test pressing copy of it. One side has the handwritten label with the other blank. The same inscribed legends ‘The Exchange Ray’s’ and ‘When is adore not adore?’ appear on either side.
If you take a look at the official Trashcans discography you’ll see a cassette version of ‘Spoofs’ was also produced.

‘Twisted and Bent’. The second single released from third album ‘A Happy Pocket’.
The song – originally called ‘Remember Phil’ – started off being written about a guy Paul met one night at a disco but soon evolved into something different, which explains the title change.

This is the 4-track CD release. I have included the promo stickered version although the packaging and CD are exactly the same as the regular release.

Below and to the right show the packaging differences between the UK and European release. This one is from Germany and doesn’t have the catalogue number GODCD147 printed, with the exception of the CD. There are, if you look closely, slight differences on the insert card – namely on the spine and some changes on type layout.

12-inch white label test pressing of debut EP ‘Obscurity Knocks’ complete with press release letter.
This copy has a handwritten label with partially ripped sticker. The inner ring of the same side has the inscription ‘!!Youthenasia!!’ which can partly be seen on the bottom right corner of the photograph.
Note the track error on the letter for ‘The Best Man’s Fool’.
