Very rare ‘A Happy Pocket’ CD from Japan.
The Japanese approach to CD packaging is elaborate and sometimes excessive – but you do get your money’s worth. This CD includes the famous ‘obi-strip’. The term is derived from the name of the piece of wide fabric – the obi – that a geisha woman would wear around her waist over the traditional Kimono dress (you learn something every day).
On the CD itself, it is marked ‘sample’ – which seems to be quite common in Japan – although this is not a promo. This release includes a fold-out lyric booklet which is printed in the ~kana script – which are syllabic Japanese scripts commonly used to write words of foreign origin.

Here’s a newspaper clipping advertising one of the earliest TCS gigs.
This was the first gig where the band played original material, and I’m pretty sure it was Paul’s first gig, maybe he’ll confirm this. Frank on vocals, John and Paul on guitars, Stephen on bass and drummer that night was co-lyricist and founder member Paul Forde.
Setlist that night was as follows: Drunken Chorus / Right Letter Wrong Square / Five and a Half Feet of Deceit / Brown Eyed Girl / Sorry For The Meantime / Lady Is A Tramp
‘Right Letter Wrong Square’ eventually became ‘Ask Davy’ and ‘For The Meantime’ featured on the b-side of the ‘Senses Working Overtime’ 12-inch promo.

‘I’ve Seen Everything’ 3-track 7-inch UK release.
Personally I think the ISE releases were an excellent series, using – in more ways than one – the artistic talents of John Douglas.
The paintings are magic.

‘Circling The Circumference’ 2-track 7-inch UK release.
I like the images on this release although I’m not sure where they were shot.
Update: The images are outtakes from the ‘Only Tongue Can Tell’ video shoot. The front picture is of George McDaid on a diving board in Arran. Thanks to majorfilmgeek for the info.
