David Roberts wasn’t happy with The Trashcans’ third album, ‘A Happy Pocket’ in this two-star review from Q Magazine. According to David, the band had moved away from their coy, jangly sound to cardboard, cartoon pop.

…until you’ve heard ‘I’ve Seen Everything’
This promotional advert appeared in most UK music magazines including Q. If you have a wee search around eBay, you can get yourself a framed copy of this for not a lot of money – if you like that sort of thing.

To promote second album ‘I’ve Seen Everything’, Go! Discs thought it would be a good idea to run a series of anagrams.
These appeared in various music press, t-shirts, CD promos and most famously on a fence at the 1993 Phoenix Festival.
It is widely believed the band weren’t too keen on this idea and distanced themselves from what was described as “…an obscene insult masquerading as a marketing ploy…”
